It makes it difficult, next winter I will put sugar fondant directly on the frames from the start. I also like the clear Perspex top covers, so many advantages. I have been working on best way to attach Perspex to the wooden surround. Best to drill and screw from both sides. Glue just doesn't last.
We had a Fool’s Spring here in the NE US. Very warm. They came out and there is still nothing to forage. I added raw sugar and pollen patties on my top frames. Now we have a major cold storm here. So they are all inside, I hope!
